By donating a gently used blanket or towel\, you and your dog cruise FREE on any one-Hour Harbor Cruise or Sea Lion Adventure on the Big Bay abo ard Hornblower. Items will be collected from 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at 1066 North Harbor Drive on the San Diego Embarcadero. Last year Hornblower Cruis es collected thousands of blankets and towels and had hundreds of attendees with their dogs take advantage of the free cruises. The event is sponsored in part by PETCO\, Frosty Paws® Frozen Treats for Dogs\, and the Port of S an Diego. \nJohn Van Zante\, Public Relations Manager\, Helen Woodward Anim al Center said\, “this is a special event that brings people together to ma ke the lives of orphaned animals better. We collect enough towels and blank ets to last us all year and its fun for the pets to be allowed out on Hornb lower’s boat too.” \nThe Pet Rescue Day on the Bay is open to anyone\, simp ly bring a donation of a new or gently used blanket or towel for the animal s and in return you will receive a free ticket for a one- hour harbor cruis e to use any time.
