Hi everyone. We have just adopted a new dog, Twiggy. She's a rescue, a puppy mill dog who was never housebroken. We'd like to papertrain her like we have with Bigby, but we are having issues.

At first we thought she was just sort of confused when she went on the rug, but it appears we may have an additional problem - she seems to be marking in the house, not just having accidents when she has to go. She's peeing on or near places that are "his" like his paper and his feeding area. Has anyone had an issue like this with a rescue dog? We would hate to give up on her, she is such a wonderful dog in every other way, but we also can't have her peeing all over!

Thanks much, and see you all on the 3rd.

The advise is to order wee wee pads. Consider ordering from www.premiumpetsetc.com because they seem to have the best prices for all of your pets needs.

I recommend wee-wee pads as well. I have trained all 3 of mine very quickly and successfully - considering one of mine is a Papillion and they are notoriously hard to housebreak. Target even carries the Arm and Hammer which are scented to attract a dog -- you can get 75 for $21.00 -- the cheapest I have found anywhere..... Also, put a wee wee pad wherever they go for the first week or so to get them used to the feeling under their feet and then gradually steer your baby to the place you want it to eliminate at all times..... I found this to be very successful.

GOOD LUCK!!
