Tiny long haired dachshund needs a home

My friend is sending out an SOS as he needs to find a home for his dog......

"She is one (year old). She is barking at us because she wants to play all the time, and she is hyper. She needs a yard. She needs grass and bushes and stuff. We have no yard for her, and it is really not good for her at all. She is so little that the kids can't really play with her like the other one, they might hurt her. We had no idea she would be so tiny when she grew up. Her name is Lucy and she is Black and Tan."

I'm new to the Houston Chihuahua Meetup Group, and just saw this post re your long-haired dachshund. Have you found a home for her yet? We currently have our first chihuahua (a gorgeous applehead long haired little guy, named "Brutus"!), but over the years we've previously had many short haired dachshunds, miniature schnauzers, Labs, and "mutts".
