The Melbourne Chihuahua Meetup Group

Hi fellow Melbournian chihuahua-folk! Chihuahuas are often great socialisers, and these happy little dogs love the company of their own kind - a 'herd' of frolicking chihuahuas is a sight to behold! We get together around the second or third weekend each month (alternating Saturdays and Sundays), usually in the afternoon at a variety of public parks in and around Melbourne - our default inner-city meetup location in 2008 will be Fawkner Park (check the Calendar for each month's details). We try to pick locations that give everyone the chance to not travel too far every time, so hopefully there'll be a meetup near you some time in the near future. Our membership extends from Flemington in the west, to Coburg and Mitcham in the north, and right down to the Mornington Peninsula, with even a few people from Geelong, Marybourough and a few distant friends elsewhere in Australia (Albury-Wodonga and Sydney) and even some lovely folk overseas who chat with us!! So come on in, check out our pages and have a look around our site - maybe we'll see you at a meetup soon where you can chat with other chi owners and let your dog play safely with other dogs in its size range!

MAY MEETUP - "Be prepared"
In the great Scouting tradition of "Be prepared", I've managed to hire us a Scout hall for this meetup, just in case the weather turns winter!!The hall is set in a reserve, so if it's nice we can still spend some time outside. It has toilets and kitchen facilities. Read more
