Come join Quihi, Pearle and I at Fifi and Fido's. We will gather at the store and check out some of the clothes and harnesses. Then we will walk down to the Quarry Village and check out the stores and stop and have coffee at Starbucks.

When we arrive back at the shop we can try on clothes and maybe learn a trick.

The Humane Society of San Antonio invites you and your four-legged friend to experience the Paws on the Patio event at Canyon Café on Monday October 26, located at the Quarry Market, from 4pm-8pm. The Executive Chef will prepare a scrumptious three course doggie meal for only $10, while you enjoy a delicious dinner outside on the patio.

The event is from 4pm to 8pm. Please be prepared to wait for a table. The last time I went to the event it was packed and had to wait about an hour for a table. I will try to arrive by 5:00 pm to reserve a table.

Is your dog the spookiest? Enter your pet into our ‘Howl-O-Ween’ Pet Costume Contest for $5, with a winner to receive a prize every hour.

So enjoy a ‘Howl-O-Ween’ inspired night with your pet, while supporting the Humane Society at our Paws on the Patio event.

At this meetup we will be able to have the dogs off leash. For the safety of others, please make sure the dogs attending are current on all vaccinations.

We will enjoy a pot luck lunch. Please post up the item you will be bringing.

One of our members has graciously allowed us to hold the event at her home. There will be lots of fun and prizes so join us for the party.

The "Dog Days of Summer" event is at the San Antonio Botanical Garden, Saturday & Sunday, August 2-3, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. All dogs must be leashed. Activities include (besides enjoying the hike through the beautiful garden trails) "Make a Milk-Bone Moment" camera pose in search of the next spokesdog for Milk-Bone , dog contests, adoptions, microchipping, samples and sales of pet products, & educational materials for owners. Sponsors are San Antonio Animal Care Services, Animal Defense League of Texas, the Humane Society/SPCA of Bexar County, and the San Antonio Botanical Society. A donation of $5 per dog will be collected and contributed to these organizations for animal welfare work. General admission to the SA Botanical garden is $7 for adults, $5 for military, seniors, & students, and $4 for kids 3-13.
