Anal glands

Only one of my dogs has ever had to have them done BY THE VET, I might add, I don't think I could ever do it myself. My other 3 dogs have never had a problem. I'll pay to have it done---not interested in learning, lol.

Trixie is 2 1/2 and has never had it done. occasionally she will scoot but not very often. I have never considered having it done because i thought the only way of doing it was from the inside, and her being only 2 lbs her but is so small a finger i think would hurt her!!! now that i know it can be done from the outside too i might take her and Zeus to see if they need it. I am also not interested in learning how to do it, anything having to do with that end i will gladly pay to have done...LOL. i'm not good with that stuff at all. I never realized anal glands could burst!!! thats horrible!!!!

Well this is Leigh again. I had to go back to vet today and get milos anal glands done again today and what is so bad is monday he is going in for surgery to get his glands taken out. So that is 3 surgerys in 14 days, they are hoping everything goes okay with him being so small. They are going to do it with lazer surgery but said they could cut through his anal muscles. And thats not good. So please everyone pray for him and I will keep in touch.

Leigh, Iwill be praying for you. I know what you are feeling. Im sure you read in my previous post about the dog flu going around here. I pray t.t. dosent have it. The poor thing is so sick. Good luck! Lori

oh my goodness.... i will pray that Milo comes out perfectly... i can only imagine what you are going through.

Hey everyone it is Milos mom again. He was suppose to have surgery Monday I took him and his anal glands where to swollen to go through it. The vet doubled his antibiotics and I am to take him back in 2 weeks he is so pityful. I hope that you all keep praying for him. Thanks for all the support.
